The Algarve is the southermost region in Portugal and stretches approximately (100 miles) along its beautiful coastline of golden sandy beaches from it’s Westernmost tip in Sagres across to the Spanish province of Andalusia. Recognised initially as a historically ancient province by the era of famous voyagers including Henry the Navigator, Bartolomeu Dias and Vasco da Gama who set off on their discoveries from this territory, it is undoubtedly the regions weather, golf and family friendly luxery developements that has attracted the hundreds and thousands of visitors towards the easy-going, laid back lifestyle which the Algarve offers.

The mild climate, starting with the fall of the almond blossom in the early part of the year which signals the beginnings of longer warmer months to follow and the mellow characteristics of the local people that have shaped the appeal against the rat race faced back home. The locals have embraced the carefully planned and thoughtful expansion of some of Europe’s most expensive and refined residential and holiday developments.

The area known as the ‘Golden Triangle’ is the center of the Algarve, only twenty minutes drive from Faro International airport. The triangle incorporates several of Europes most exclusive property developments, including Dunas Douradas, Quinta do Lago and Vale do Lobo. Renowned for their manicured golf courses, sophisticated cuisine, stretches of golden beaches and a variety of entertainment facilities; the area is a heaven offering all the ingredients to enjoy a truly luxurious lifestyle.

The Algarve coastline is famous for its world-class golf courses and beautiful beaches. With a wealth of aquatic activities from sailing, snorkeling and fishing for a visitor wanting to stay active whilst here, you will have no trouble keeping busy.

Natural reserves abound and pine forests and fig trees grow side by side. You can spend the day exploring the neighbouring nature reserve, sampling local wines and cheeses, or just enjoying the wide open Atlantic ocean off the beach.

The southern Portuguese cuisine emphasizes fruits of the sea, although you will not want to miss the Piri-Piri chicken that is served in everything from beach shacks to the white table clothed restaurants. Nightlife is full of surprises with a plentitude of bars, clubs and casinos to keep the night owls dancing till the light of dawn.
